The South Boundary Fire Protection District has an ever-expanding fire prevention program in the Naples School (Naples, Idaho). This program incorporates Kindergarten through 3rd Grade every year during Fire Prevention Week in October. The program includes a Fire Safety Play Day on the last day of school, for all grades.

in 2007/2008, in recognition of South Boundary Fire Protection District's efforts to educate school children concerning fire safety and prevention, Fire Chief Tony Rohrwasser was awarded the 'Friend of Education' award by the Boundary County School District #101. (11/25/2008)
